I have the SAME experience with my husband. Down to the resentment of not having a "real job," to not having any interest in reading anything I write. Like you, at first I would send him a link to everything I wrote. Nada. I would find myself begging him to take the time to read my work and one day saw how futile that was. His apathy was a reflection of him, and of course it hurt because we want our spouse to be interested in SEEING us. That was the hardest part. It made our connection feel superficial in some ways because had the tables been turned, I would be chomping at the bit to read every single word he wrote. I finally stopped asking - to preserve my own sanity - and have come to appreciate that he doesn't ask to read my work.
