Thank you for this. It is beautiful to realize that when it is the end, our pet knows it too and wants to be at peace. I struggle with the "did I do enough" all too often when I reminisce (or ruminate) on the end. It is an important perspective shift to realize how grateful our pet is for all that we did - they know it and I needed to hear that.
