Thank you so much for your kind words… Training can be wonderful, but it won’t “fix” an underlying temperament the way it can modify behaviors like jumping, chewing, etc. Trainers have given me advice on how to work with a fearful dog, but not train them, and only certain trainers really understand the limitations of our dogs. If this might be helpful, I recently purchased a leash sleeve that reads, “I NEED SPACE” so people will respect our boundaries without me spending the energy of sounding like a broken record.
