I am glad you have found something that has worked for you - every time we fall in love it is a different experience so I definitely agree that there will always be another who needs our love, and vice versa. I think where I get tied up is that I adopted a very challenging dog and it's been a long road, one I wasn't prepared for, especially in the midst of grief. I have written extensively about my complicated relationship with her, and have found it not only healing, but something others are able to relate to so I feel less alone.
